Once a person has achieved this occupational registration, they are eligible to work within the Australian Health system. This is a bridging course and is designed to facilitate the transition from nursing overseas to nursing within Australia.
The aim of this course is to assist overseas qualified nurses to embrace the knowledge and skills required to work as a nurse in Australia and provide support in the transition from nursing in their country of origin to nursing in Australia. This course is accredited by the NMBA (Nursing Midwifery Board Australia) in accordance with the ANMAC (Australian Nursing Midwifery Accreditation Standards).
